FRESH SNOW WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT??

After all the negative press regarding the lack of fresh snow, it actually snows! Who would have thought that!? Well most of us who work in the industry know that conditions can change very quickly in the alpine regions of the world. Sadly it would appear that some journalists who write for a living don't seem to know this fact.

For those of you who are allowed to watch video content you really should subdscribe to the following site www.chamonix.net here you will see some fantastic footage of up to date ski conditions. Its almost like being there!

The World According to Blog

I am delighted to be able to contribute to the world of blogging. Its like coming out of the dark ages, I feel enlightened.
By the way where is the snow?

Zermatt

Simon is looking forward to his holiday in Zermatt in April 2011. I have booked into the Hotel Butterfly * * * http://www.alpineanswers.co.uk/hotels/show/237 with friends and am eagerly anticipating a week of long lunching and great skiing. Does anybody have some good recommendations for tucked out of the way eateries on the mountain?

Getting Busy

We are getting really busy in the office booking ski holidays. So much so that we have been interviewing for extra sales staff recently. After a quiet May and June we have seen a steady rise in business ever since. Are we a barometer for the economy as a whole? Well let's hope so!

As the chalet operators include quite a few extras with their sterling priced holidays (wine and coffee with dinner, sometimes lift passes, lunches and open bars etc) booking a holiday in a catered chalet is looking great value when compared to staying in a hotel where all the extras are paid for with expensive euros!

Alpine Answers features catered chalets from over 150 different holiday companies. It's fair to say that we very thoroughly cover the market. Our website allows you to search and check availability with over 1,000 chalets with just a few mouse clicks. And our experienced team are here if you just want to chat instead.

There is still some availability for New Year, 1st week January, Half Term and Easter but what's left is getting snapped up quickly now.

So if you are getting a group together or are looking to travel on one of the peak date weeks please do not delay.

Simon
